Emporium pies

Not sure where the name came from but all I can say is that this pie company doesnt need a name.  I tried two pies that were new for the season and yes I'll be back! I've seen lines out the door and now I can see why. It was so worth every caloric bite I took.

Hard 8 bbq pit

We don't have place like this in L.A. so I can appreciate this. Next to Fresno BBQ I'm thinking this is a hard 2nd place in the country. I really enjoyed the set up at this place. The staff was awesome. You get free beans and you pay by the pound (meats). I was able to try the tri-tip, sausage, roasted corn, cole slaw, baby back ribs, bacon wrapped chicken. All items were delicious. I'm looking forward to my next visit since its only 3 miles from my hotel!

Boulevardier ~ Dallas

A few months ago I went here for drinks patiently waiting for my table at St. Lucia on the next block. I'm really glad that Hattie's was booked for brunch because I cant imagine having a more perfect brunch than this. We had the bloody mary and Irish Coffee. Very solid beverages. The Irish Coffee was a perfect blend of warmth that soothed my belly.
I also had the Duck Confit with grits cake. If I had two bellies I would have eaten the entire dish.
This place is definitely on my top brunch spots in Dallas. The chef is amazing!
